Do it yourself carpet cleaning can sound like a great idea for saving money but, A word of warning its no so easy, you can easily damage your carpet. there are two main ways

First shrinkage. you can over wet you carpet and cause shrinkage. it does not happen to all types of carpet but you will need to know which ones will and the one that will not.

second colour bleed, this is where to colour runs. again not such a problem if your carpet is just one colour but again knowledge is key.

Many so called professional carpet cleaners will not have the training to identify these problems. Why? because its so easy to just go out and buy the products and equipment without anyone stopping them.

that's why its important to have a professional carpet cleaner that has and can prove his training.

I beg you its not a good idea to Do it yourself carpet cleaning. or choose a carpet cleaner based on how cheap he is.
