Pet, Dog and Cat Allergies living with a pet allergy
First its my opinion that people with these types of allergy need to reduce the level of dander in their homes. its the high levels that set the allergic reaction going.
First, was your cat and dog as regualy as you can.
second vacuum as much as possible and not just a quick five minutes to vacuum a average lounge it should take fifteen minutes each time you do it. always have a hepa filter on your vacuum, make sure its empty every time you vac don't wait until it fills. vacuum slowly allowing the brush to bet the carpet fiber to release the dirt and dander from the pile.
and third, don't have hard floors as the dust containing the dander will be blown around every time you open an outside door, and then you end up breathing it in.
lastly use a allergstop network member to clean your carpet twice a year. this will sanitize it killing any harmful particles.
there is no reason that if you just cant do without your pet and you want to manage the allergy then you and your pet should no live a happy life together.
